DMC Hooked Zpagetti (1 cake)
DMC Bamboo Crochet Hook (10 mm)
DMC Craft SCissors

Terms:
CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet
HDC – Half Double Crochet

Sl St – Slip Stitch

Basket Measurement:
10 inches in diameter
8 inches in height

Instructions:
CH 2
Rnd 1: 8 SC in 2nd CH from hook
Rnd 2: 2 HDC in eachst. Join with Sl St. (16 HDC)
Rnd 3: CH 2, HDC in same st, HDC in next st, (2 HDC in next st, HDC in next st) around. Join with Sl St. (24 HDC)
Rnd 4: CH 2, HDC in same st, HDC in next 2 sts, (2 HDC in next st, HDC in next 2 sts) around. Join with Sl St. (32 HDC)
Rnd 5: CH 2, HDC in same st, HDC in next 3 sts, (2 HDC in next st, HDC in next 3 sts) around. Join with Sl St. (40 HDC)
Rnd 6: CH 2, HDC in same st, HDC in next 4 sts, (2 HDC in next st, HDC in next 4 sts) around. Join with Sl St. (48 HDC)
Rnd 7: CH 1, SC under the line or ridge on the back of the first st of previous round. (Half double crochetstitches have a line or ridge on the back of the stitch). You will be working under this line or ridge, not into the regular loops. Continue working SC around. Join with a Sl St.
Rnd 8: CH 2, HDC into next st and in eachst around. Join with Sl St.
Rnd 9: CH 1, Working in the back loop only, SC in the same st and in eachst around. Join with Sl St.

Materials:

DMC Petra 3

Crochet Hook size 3.5mm

Stitch Markers

Tapestry Needle size 18

DMC Craft Scissors

 

Terms:

CH – Chain

SC – Single Crochet

HDC – Half Double Crochet

DC – Double Crochet

FPdc – Front Post double crochet

SK – skip

T-Ch – Turning Chain

 

To begin:

Chain 36.  Bag will be worked in spiral rounds

ROUND 1:  3 SC in the 2nd CH from hook.  Mark 1st stitch.  1 SC across, then 3 SC on the

                     last CH. Working on the other side of CH, 1SC across.

ROUND 2:  1 HDC around, marking first ST

 

ROUNDS 3-30 1 HDC around, marking first ST.  After completing last round, lay bag flat on the table.  Due to slant of STs when working in spiral crochet, you may not have ended precisely at a corner.  HDC to the nearest corner.  Do not cut yarn.

 

FLAP OF BAG:

Turn bag over and lay flat on the table.  Across this back side, mark off 35 STs along the top edge, while at the same time ensuring these 35 STs are centered.  Mark the first and last ST.

WAFFLE STITCH

ROW 1:  Ch 3, DC into the next ST, FPdc around the next ST. 1 DC into each of the next 2 STS.  FPdc around the next ST. *1 DC into each of the next 2 STS, FPdc around the next st**  Repeat from *to** until the end of the row.  DC into the T-Ch.  Turn.

ROW 2:  Ch 3, DC in the next ST.  FPdc around each of the next 2 STS.  DC in the next ST, FPdc around each of the next 2 STS.  *DC in the next ST, FPdc around each of the next 2 STS**  Repeat from *to** until you reach the end of the row, working your last FPdc around the CH-3.  Turn.

Rows 3-22 – Repeat rows 1 -2 until you reach 6.5 inches of the flap bag. 

Row 23 – Ch2, HDC on each ST across.  Weave end and cut.

Sew the button of the bag.

 

STRAP OF BAG:

On1 corner of the bag, attach new thread and chain 200. Attach on the other corner of the bag.

Do HDC on each ST across until you reach the 1st corner.  Fasten off, weave ends, and cut.

Affix the button of the bag.

To begin:

 Do a magic circle.


Rnd 1: Ch 3, work 11 DC into first chain. (12sts created including the ch 3), slip stitch to join


Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 SC in each st around, slip stitch to join (24 sts) 

Rounds 3, 5, 7, 9: Ch 2, DC around, slip stitch to join (24sts)

Rounds 4, 6, 8, 10: Ch 1, SC in each st around, slip stitch to join (24sts)

Rnd 11: Ch3, *skp next stitch. HDC, ch1*  repeat ** around (12 spaces created for Ribbon to be threaded around later)  sl st to join

Rnd 12: Ch1. work 2 sc in each space around and 1 sc in every hdc of previous round) sl st to join

Rnd 13: Do not chain,  *sk2 5dc in next stitch (shell created)* Repeat ** around. 

Fasten off  neatly weave in ends. 

Chain 60.  Thread into the chain spaces and tie into a ribbon.

Make another piece to complete the pair!

Materials

2 Colors of DMC Hoooked Zpagetti (at least 50 meters)

1 Hooked Zpagetti Bamboo Crochet Hook 10mm

1 smaller crochet hook at least size 6

TO BEGIN:

Do a magic circle with Color A.

Round 1:  Work 6 SC in the ring, join with a SL ST. (6 STS)

Round 2: CH 1, 2 SC in each ST around, join with a SL ST (12 STS)

Round 3:  CH 1, SC in the first ST, 2 SC in the next ST, * SC in the next ST, 2 SC in the next ST; repeat from * around, join with a SL ST (18 STS)

Round 4:  Working in BLO, CH 1 and SC in each ST around, put markers in first ST of round, do not join (18 STS)

Rounds 5-17 : SC in each ST around; finish last ST of Round 17 with Color B.  Cut Color A. (18 STS)

Rounds 18-22:  Continue with Color B, SC in each ST around (18 STS)

Round 23:  SC in the first 2 STS, CH 10, skip 5 STS, SC in the next 4 STS, CH 10, skip 5 STS, SC in the last 2 STS (28 STS)

Round 24:  SC in the first 2 STS, SC 12 in the CH SP, SC in the next 4 STS, SC 12 in the CH SP, SC in the last 2 STS.  Cut yarn and use smaller hook to create seamless join to the first ST of round.  Use hook to weave the ends.
